Book
Get in touch and tell us which type and how many you want. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit of SEK 1,000 per nuc has been paid by Swish.

Collect in Asarum
We agree on a time for you to collect the nuc from us. The balance is paid by Swish on collection.

Set it up
Put the box in its place and open the entrance. Move the frames into your hive when it suits you.
Frequently asked questions
What frame size is it?
Lågnormal (LN), the common Swedish frame size. The frames fit straight into Lågnormal hives.
Do I need my own hive when I collect?
No. The nuc comes in an XPS box that is included in the price. It keeps the bees warm during transport and can serve as a temporary hive until you move the frames over.
How do I transport the nuc?
Easily – the box has a mesh floor, so the bees get plenty of air and can travel in the car without any problem. Keep it out of direct sun, and open the entrance once the box is in place.
Which queen will I get?
We rear Buckfast queens from our registered breeder queen. Read more about the pedigree on the Queens page.
How do I pay?
You book with a deposit of SEK 1,000 per nuc by Swish. You pay the balance by Swish when you collect the nuc.
What if the nuc doesn’t survive the winter?
Then you get your full deposit back – or, if you prefer, a current-year nuc instead when they are ready in June–July.
Can I cancel?
Yes, but the deposit is not refunded if you cancel, since we have reserved the nuc for you.
