Pollen
Frozen bee pollen
Bee pollen is flower pollen that the bees collect and shape into small pellets with a little nectar – their most important source of protein. We collect the pollen at the hive entrance with a pollen trap and freeze it straight away to preserve its colour, aroma and flavour.
The colour changes with whatever is in bloom: from pale yellow to orange and deep red. How to use: 1–2 teaspoons in yoghurt, porridge, muesli or a smoothie. Storage: in the freezer – take out one portion at a time.
Not suitable for people with pollen allergy.

OrderBee bread
Bee bread (perga) is pollen that the bees pack into the wax cells, mix with honey and seal. There it undergoes lactic fermentation – the bees’ own sourdough, and the food young nurse bees eat to feed the larvae.
It tastes tangy, a little like dried fruit. We remove the bee bread from the comb by hand. How to use: chew a few granules as they are, or mix into honey or yoghurt. Storage: dry, in an airtight jar, preferably in the fridge.

Ask usPropolis
Propolis is resin that the bees collect from the buds and bark of trees such as birch, alder and poplar. They mix it with wax and use it to seal gaps and keep the hive clean.
Colour and aroma vary with the tree species – from yellow-brown to almost black, with a spicy scent. We sell raw propolis scraped from frames and top bars. Traditionally used for tinctures and salves. Storage: cool and dark.
May cause allergic reactions in sensitive people.

Ask usCappings wax
Cappings wax comes from the thin wax caps the bees build over the cells once the honey is ripe. The cappings are cut off when we extract – which is why it is the cleanest and lightest wax in the hive.
We melt, strain and cast the wax into blocks with a mild scent of honey. How to use: candles, lip balm and salves, beeswax wraps, wood finish and leather balm. Storage: keeps practically forever at room temperature.
